Edit the product and select the 'Prompt' tab. Enter the prompt for the additional information into the 'Other Info Question' field.
If the 'Shopping Mode' is 'Quantity on Product Page' the 'Other Information' prompt will appear against the product, however, if the 'Shopping Mode' is either 'Quantity on Confirmation Page' or 'Quantity in Shopping Cart' the prompt will appear after the customer has clicked the 'add to cart' button.
When the buyer orders this product they will then be required to enter text aginst the prompt defined above. The text will appear in the order on the Misc. tab.
How do I have the customer supply additional information about a product e.g. engraving message, colour?
